35 Years of The Gaia Foundation
To celebrate The Gaia Foundation's 35 year journey walking alongside some of the world's most respected and celebrated Earth custodians and defenders, we've created this beautiful short animation with talented artist Temujen Gunawardena.
Together, from the Atlantic to the Arctic, Africa to the Amazon, we are reweaving the basket of life, revalorising the knowledge systems that enhance it, and restoring a respectful relationship with the Earth.
We work with custodians of seed for a food revolution that will feed the world, cool the planet and place farmers, communities and the wild back at the heart of our food system.

When we think of seed sovereignty, we rarely think of urban spaces yet in the nooks and crannies of cities across the UK (and the world) growers are carefully, diligently saving seed. I agree that part of the reason is I'm from a developing country and I do a mediocre job, still, I'm happy that my share of ecological destruction and consumerism is low 🙂 my phone (which I use to write this) is over 4 years old and I'll not change it until it breaks down beyond convenient use
Lovely film and a super cause. Love seed saving networks - so important. Great to see those urban growing spaces too.
BRO GOT THIS THUMB😂😂😂
He finally had a phone Y-Fone 200000000000000000000000000It was really expensive
This is a wonderful film, Thank you... BUT What message is sent by placing a narrator with an intensely aristocratic accent over this film showing almost exclusively cultures and peoples who were until just recently colonialized? 🙏🏼
XD

This video was made 9 years ago, yet nothing has changed. It's hopeless - human "civilization" is an epic failure.
Society will face judgement from God, the antichrist will rise and christians will get persecuted for not worshipping the beast. Repentance is the only option to get to heaven. May God bless you. Amen 🙏
We need a lab that can undo some of the genetic alterations made to our seed, specifically the ones that are made for the sole purpose of controlling and owning the seed like stifling its ability to procreate successfully generation after generation. This lab can be backed by a govenrment that's had enough and doesn't care what these companies say think or want. Not in our country... here we made it legal to undo the dammage you have done. We will march on without you. We will starve at first, you and all the other countries that you have a stranglehold on won't help us during this time... we know this, we will power threw that and shake you off our backs and be there for the next country that chooses to do the same. That can happen, but it will take a strong country with a strong government, that is also altruistic and working for the public good. I'm not too hopfull because I have yet to see a government like that. Do you think your government would be willing to do that? I don't think mine would.
Thanks Giaia foundation for bringing this important issue to the public. No food security with out Seed sovereignty. Agroecology is the solution for the climate crisis.
De que trata el video?
Do not purchase to much
❤
You are right 😉😊
What's the difference with the other one? This one with more/less music or different music?? Or sound effects? :(
Just so you know, I don't care about the newest models.

great story very inspiring
Too many “know the price of everything and the value of nothing” ~ Oscar Wilde.
So wonderful to hear you speak with such passion and especially wonderful to see a woman of colour who has been a farmer in the UK for 20 years, as a leader, very encouraging!
Steve Cutts, thank you
The worst of the capitalism ..if there are something good with capitalism.
usual suspect. boy dont they love money. from slave ships to seeds. smh
usual suspects. all for the love of money
welcome to liquid modernity
this video makes us reflect on the future of the planet, and on the future of humanity
I have to admit, seeing this video really makes me think twice about things.
Hostly speaking, historically these people are all foreigners. Let them go back to their original countries and form or enjoy their sacred places.
Can't imagine how this organisation is still undervalued, yet having the most powerful being as a partner. Earth itself.
Over the rivers Mama's name reflects Wawa, not WAter and mother. What do those names reflect over the rivers? Listening to men who call Mama woMEN and say these are his waters.
Sempre atual
When Bill Gates and the other globalists like him voluntarily give up their underground mansions in New Zealand, capable of sustaining life in time of Nuclear war, and plant some trees there instead, then I might listen to their propaganda. The reality is, that regular people usually don't overconsume overall (of course, there are exceptions, but not majority!) - people use mostly essential tools, they need to work and to educate. Those, who over-consume are the 0.01% - exactly like Bill Gates, and exactly like the people, who sponsor such "foundations". If they want to lead, they should do so by personal example. Stop selling this crap, it's a cheap propaganda for 15 yrs old, but it's very far away from the reality of life.
One thing I would love to know in a future video is how the thrifting scene in the US differs from the UK?
hermosa. cultivemos nuestros alimentos
Overconsumption, the worst byproduct of capitalism.
